At the end of 2004 five young blues musicians found each other through different ways but with only one goal, creating blues music with heart and soul. They started rehearsing together and hit it off right away. Their mutual love for music from: "T-Bone, Lowell Fulson, Junior Wells, Otis Rush, BB King, Sonny boy", to name a few, made it easy to develop an arousing set in only a short period of time. After existing only six months, they already received the honour to kick of the Belgium rhythm and blues festival, one of the biggest festivals in Europe. From that day forward, Rusty Roots has become one of Belgium's finest blues bands, killing stages all over the place. And thanks to their enthusiastic and passionate live performances, they are determent to stay at the top. An amazing guitar player, a solid harmonica player, a firm rhythm section and a brilliant front man will make you kick your feet all over the dance floor. After their successful debut album "100 Miles" in 2006 recorded together with former sax player Steven Scheelen, they headed back to the studio in 2008 to record their second full album "Electrified" together with JJ Louis on Hammond B3. The incredible talented Marc TEE produced both albums and lifted Rusty Roots up to a completely new level. Thanks to the high quality of the second album, the band has drawn the attention of "Naked Productions" and signed on. The album "100 Miles" takes you on a journey of swing and west coast blues and the second album "Electrified" will certainly touch your soul. At the present time Rusty Roots is working very hard to record there third album together with their new member "Reverend Hotrod" on Mississippi saxophone. The reverend brings back the sound of the early Rusty Roots years with which we became known. But, we wouldn't be Rusty Roots if we didn't make sure to be unique in our style. The release date of the new album will be in February 2011 and will be produced by TEE once again.
